National Mentoring Month is a time to focus national attention on the importance of mentors, and to reflect on how each of us — individuals, businesses, government agencies, schools, communities and nonprofits — can help grow the mentoring movement and the positive effects it has on young people.
Did you know? Research confirms that youth with mentors have increased likelihood of going to college, better attitudes toward school, and increased social and emotional development.
At ASPIRA of New York we know the benefits of mentoring, and see them everyday through our programs. By promoting academic success, engagement in extracurricular activities, and connections to new opportunities, our youth will go on to fulfill their potential.
ASPIRA is proud that many of our school leaders and educators serve as mentors and we would like to thank the individuals who help our mission move forward!
