Circle Of Achievers

On Thursday, May 2nd, ASPIRA of New York celebrated its 2024 annual Circle of Achievers event. More information on the upcoming 2025 event will be available soon. Last year, thanks to the generosity of corporations and individuals, $1.1 Million dollars was raised to support ASPIRA’s programs. We hope we can repeat, or exceed, that level of investment in ASPIRAntes this year with returning supporters and new ones.

Since 1961, founded by Dr. Antonia Pantoja, ASPIRA has been at the forefront of providing educational and leadership development opportunities to Latino youth. In 2023, we served 6,253 New York City youth. Nearly all of the students come from low-income households. More often than not, they attend poor performing schools in under-resourced school districts and are first-generation college entrants. 100% of students engaged in our Leadership and College Access Program earned a high school diploma; of those, 99%, entered college. In our elementary and middle school-based programs, 100% of students had passing grades to enable them to progress with their age group towards graduation.
