Kimberly Fernandez
Vice President

Kimberly Fernandez is a Vice President in the US Inward Investment Unit of Aon’s Global Client Network with over 20 years of experience. She provides insight into standard US practices that impact Global Controlled Insurance Programs and ensures industry specific terms and conditions are included within Global Programs. Kimberly coordinates with Broker teams to provide expertise in areas with greater exposure to US litigation. Kimberly has been a fundamental supporter of Aon Latino Professional Network through her leadership at the New York Office. She is seen as a mentor for many colleagues and promotes a more inclusive workplace within Aon.

Diego Ochoa
Associate

Diego Ochoa is a Corporate and Investment Banking Coverage Associate at SMBC. Born in Ecuador, he moved to the United States with his family as a child and grew up in East New York, Brooklyn. In 2010, Diego joined the U.S. Army in pursuit of new opportunities and was assigned to the Army’s 10th Mountain Division. During his service, he deployed to Afghanistan twice and earned the rank of Sergeant before choosing to return to school to study finance. He attended LaGuardia Community College before earning his bachelor's degree in finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business in 2020. Diego holds a leadership role in SMBC’s veterans' ERG and volunteers as a mentor for LaGuardia Community College students aspiring to transfer to four-year schools.

Teresa Cazares-Humble is a Managing Director, and is the Business Development Leader for Executive Lines at Brown & Brown. With more than 20 years of experience, she works with service teams to develop and validate corporate insurance programs, ensuring they align with customers' financial strategy. As part of her passion to help others, Teresa mentors 20+ individuals through Brown & Brown's professional development program, participates as a mentor for the Women's Team Resource Group for Brown & Brown and is an advisor on the Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging committee at Brown & Brown. Teresa was named to Insurance Business America's 2019 and 2021 Elite Women list.

Today he is a Managing Director in charge of the BNP Paribas liquidity risk management framework in North America. Brandon Gardner

Brandon Gardner is an Associate at TD Securities in the Communications, Media & Technology (CM&T) Corporate Banking coverage group. After starting his career in the consulting industry, he joined TD Securities in 2023 as an Analyst on the CM&T Investment Banking coverage team. Brandon was invited to join the CM&T Corporate Banking team and transitioned to this new role in November 2024. He works across the full client portfolio and is a member of the Junior Corporate Banking Committee, which aims to identify and communicate initiatives to the bank's senior leadership. Brandon grew up in Vermont and graduated from Colgate University in 2019.

Jacqueline Pelaez
Section Manager, Manhattan Environmental Operations, Electric Operations

Jacqueline Pelaez has been with Con Edison since 2014 and currently serves as the Section Manager for Manhattan Environmental Operations, where she leads a team dedicated to ensuring a safe and reliable electric grid by maintaining clean underground electric structures and promptly addressing environmental concerns. She has held various roles, including Operating Supervisor in Electric Construction, Senior System Analyst in Enterprise Data Analytics, and Project Manager for the Business Sustainability and Technology Solutions team. Jackie is an active board member of Con Edison’s Hispanic Employee Resource called CLARO, promoting cultural diversity and professional development through impactful events like career panels featuring Latino/a leaders in the energy sector. Outside of her work, she is passionate about social justice and environmental sustainability, volunteering with organizations that provide essential resources to disadvantaged women in NYC. Jackie holds a Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics and Statistics and a Master’s in Technological Systems Management from Stony Brook University. In her spare time, she enjoys running and has completed the NYC Marathon twice!

Marissa Pezo
Executive Director and Associate General Counsel

Marissa is an Executive Director and Associate General Counsel in Santander's US Corporate & Investment Banking division, covering the Structured Products Group. Marissa has a BA from New York University, where she graduated magna cum laude, and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center. She began her career in commercial litigation and was a law clerk in the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. She was raised in Miami, Florida by parents who moved to the US from Peru. Throughout her legal career at Santander and in private practice, Marissa has provided pro bono legal services to recent immigrants from Latin America, including helping persons seeking asylum, volunteering at immigration clinics and helping victims of domestic violence.
