ASPIRA & STEM LEARNING

Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month

ASPIRA programs such as ASPIRA 21st Century Community Learning Centers have partnered with the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) to ensure that students have access to high-quality STEM education, with the goal of inspiring a lifelong interest in STEM.

The STEM program is facilitated virtually for 1-hour, for 10-12 weeks. Through this program students meet and interact with real scientists, and participate in hands-on, engaging science activities. These subjects spark learning and ignite interest by letting youth experiment with STEM ideas in real-world situations. They also help students succeed in school and prepare them for careers that are driving global economic growth.
